While the terms are often used interchangeably, Massage Therapy is a specific form of bodywork primarily focused on soft tissue manipulation using rhythmic strokes and generalized pressure to promote deep relaxation, stress reduction, and increased circulation. It's about immediate comfort and well-being.
Bodywork is a more specialized, goal-oriented approach. A Bodyworker often utilizes advanced techniques (myofascial release) to assess posture, address the root causeof chronic tension, and achieve lasting structural and functional changes in the body.
All Massage is Bodywork, but not all Bodywork is a traditional, generalized massage.

We specialize in Integrative Bodywork, meaning every session is uniquely tailored for you to receive pressure that is simultaneously deeply relaxing and structurally effective. Unlike relying solely on a pain scale, we focus on maintaining a consistent therapeutic depth—a dynamic balance that maximizes tissue change without triggering the body's stress response. This approach ensures your body remains comfortable, receptive, and in the optimal healing state.

Your session fee covers the full breadth of our talent and time. We utilize a transparent, flat fee structure, do not accept tips, and never charge extra for specialized techniques. Most importantly, we respect your investment: when you book a 60-minute session, you receive a full 60 minutes of dedicated, hands-on treatment on the table. We aim to be a consistent, professional, and trustworthy addition to your personal healthcare team.

To ensure you receive the most effective and lasting results, Carey developed and trademarked a unique, evidence-based HEALING™ Model.
This proprietary framework is the foundation of every session, allowing us to move beyond standard symptom treatment. It systematically guides our assessment, application of techniques, and post-session strategy, ensuring we address the root cause of your pain and tension.
The result is a highly sophisticated, consistent, and personalized bodywork experience designed for deep, long-term therapeutic success.

Trauma-Informed Massage is not a specific technique (like Deep Tissue or Swedish); rather, it is the lens through which I view our entire therapeutic relationship. It is an approach that prioritizes your sense of safety, autonomy, and trust above all else.
I understand that for many people—whether they have a history of trauma, PTSD, or high stress—traditional massage settings involving vulnerability and touch can sometimes feel overwhelming. A trauma-informed approach ensures that we move at a pace that feels safe for your nervous system.
What you can expect in our sessions:
You are the expert: I view you as the authority on your own body. I am here to facilitate, not to dictate.
Active Consent: I will explain what I am doing before I do it, and check in frequently. You are always empowered to say "no," change your mind, or end the session at any time.
Modifications for Safety: We can adjust the lighting, the music, the areas we work on or the door to ensure you feel secure. You are also welcome to remain fully or partially clothed if that feels safer for you.
No Disclosure Required: You do not need to tell me the details of your trauma to receive trauma-informed care. We focus on how your body feels in the present moment.
